I enjoyed the unique decor and the friendly staff at James. The location is fantastic, just a couple of blocks from the beach. The room had a clean vibe, with a cozy atmosphere. Free parking right by the hotel was a major plus. The coffee available in the lobby was a nice touch too. However, the room cleanliness left something to be desired. I found some long hairs left behind. The bed felt a bit too soft for me, and there was a strange musty smell lingering in the air. I also noticed a few minor maintenance issues that could really use attention, like the shower spraying awkwardly. Still, I appreciated the overall vibe and the quirky charm of the place.

We were welcomed by the friendliest man I think we have met whilst on our trip of the States, his name has slipped my mind but he is from Nicaragua. The place is really quirky and affordable, like it had character, ya know?
It wasn’t exactly a bargain, but still acceptable.

Perfect Location with Unique Vibes
I really enjoyed my stay here! The location was fantastic, just a short walk from the beach and close to shopping and dining. The decor is quirky and artistic, creating a fun atmosphere that sets it apart. However, the cleanliness could use some improvement, as I noticed some hairs in the room upon check-in.

We had a fantastic time staying here with friends! The location is perfect for hitting the beach and checking out PortMiami. The quirky decor adds charm, and the staff were super friendly. Enjoyed some coffee and donuts while relaxing in the outdoor patio. Just a heads up, parking is included which is a big plus.
One downside was the cleanliness – we found some long hairs in our room, which was pretty off-putting. Thankfully, it didn't ruin our trip.

The bakery scene around here is fire! Rosetta Bakery’s pastries are a must-try, and the nearby Dolce Italian Miami has killer pasta that’ll blow your taste buds away. Plus, the vibrant atmosphere of the hotel makes it a fun place to hang out.
The bed was a tad too soft for my liking, and there was a strange smell in the room—probably the beach vibe. The view’s just another building, so keep those curtains closed and crank up the AC.

missingWrote a review on Aug 21free parkingexcellent locationold building
Solid location close to South Beach, making it easy to hit the local bars or grab a bite. The free parking is a major plus in this part of town, helping avoid the usual headaches of Miami parking.
The building has an old, worn-out vibe that could really use a facelift. Despite the location, the rooms felt dingy with cheap, springy beds reminiscent of a 1930s setup. Expect to find some areas in need of better cleaning, as my bathroom shower had mold and the fridge set up in the closet added to a cramped feel. Noise creeps in from outside, especially for rooms located near the lobby, where late-night chatter can disrupt your sleep. Brown water came from the taps, and beds had slightly stained linens that didn't inspire confidence.

I stayed here recently and appreciated the location's proximity to beaches and restaurants. The room was adequate for what I needed, though it lacked some brightness.
There were issues with noise from other guests, which severely affected my sleep. The staff did not take action to address it, leaving me feeling frustrated.

Just a suitable option for a fleeting stay in Miami Beach with great value-to-price ratio. I appreciated the giant vat of coffee and donuts in the lobby each morning. A tip would be to make sure to walk down to the beach. it’s only a couple minutes away.
